Relaxing with Bubbles & a Dip in Dar…

Poolside Bubbles in Dar es Salaam

Poolside Bubbles in Dar es Salaam

When en route back from Zanzibar I needed an overnight stay in Dar es Salaam, which whilst not actually the capital of Tanzania it serves as the political and financial hub for the country. A vast city with fairly chaotic roads the journey to the airport can apparently take hours during peak traffic, fortunately for TravelBella it was an early-morning flight and we reached the airport in less than 30 minutes from our hotel, the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro. The hotel was a great choice for a pit-stop en route from Zanzibar as it is a short walk from the ferry terminal and is a calm oasis from the hectic city. The infinity pool serves as a refreshing welcome and what could be better after a hot and sticky ferry ride than an ice cold glass of champagne and a cool dip! The many hotel restaurants give you a superb selection of dining options and there is even a nightclub in the hotel so you don’t have to leave for anything! I love to explore new cities and I am almost embarrassed to admit that I did not get out and explore Dar es Salaam, but when you are just in for an overnight stop the pool, bubbles, great restaurants and comfortable and spacious room are all that I wanted and I was very content!
