Breakfast in the sunshine overlooking Marrakech – the perfect start to the day!

Marrakech is such an exciting city. It is a whirlwind of colour, sound, energy, sights and people – from the morning prayers coming from the Mosques to the bustling souks and the vibrant Jamaa el Fna; the main square located in the Medina complete with snake charmers, dancers and dancing monkeys. It is an electric city with so much to see and do that you will need a place to relax and unwind between the shopping, eating and sight-seeing. There are many large hotels located around the city, however if you want to stay somewhere unique and tradional there are many beautiful riads hidden away along narrow sidestreets, only recognizable by a small signs amd easy-to-miss doors! Such is the entrance of the wonderful Riad Ambre & Epices, in fact it is almost impossible to find on a map but it is worth the labyrinth as it is a delightful place to call home for a few days. With just 6 bedrooms, each unique in style, you are well looked after by the staff who treat you like family and will see to your every need. TravelBella stayed in the exquisite Trésor de Chine room which has the most incredible marble bath and fine attention to detail, from Moroccan lanterns to sun hats in the room for when you want to enjoy the sunshine by the pool in the patio. A traditional breakfast is served on the roof terrace overlooking the city and there is also a cosy dining room with a fireplace for intimate private dining on cooler nights. The comfortable and homely Riad Ambre & Epices will give you a place to escape and unwind – that is if you don’t get lost trying to find it!
