Eating fresh seafood on a beautiful beach on an English Island…

Fresh Lobster from the English Channel

Fresh Lobster from the English Channel

The beaches of Jersey are breathtakingly beautiful, reminiscent of the glorious beaches of Brazil, minus the permanent sunshine. On a hot summer’s day Jersey beaches are world-class but even a visit to this small island, tucked away in the English Channel, during the winter is a rewarding break, as well as being an easy trip from London. With clifftop walks, an immense choice of beaches for relaxed strolls and quaint towns, Jersey is a charming place for a weekend visit all year round. As with most small islands seafood is the preferred food served in the majority of restaurants, and perhaps the Oyster Box is one of the best. The simple beach-themed decor is perfect for it’s setting overlooking the stunning vistas of St Brelade’s Bay, with it’s wide stretch of white powdery sand and turquoise water illuminated by the sun on a good day. This beach bar and restaurant serves simple but outstanding seafood and TravelBella enjoyed oysters and champagne to start, followed by delicious, juicy lobster cooked to perfection. If you are lucky enough to visit on a sunny day then there is outdoor seating, otherwise the huge windows will allow you to take in the natural beauty of the ocean from inside the Oyster Box. If you do visit on a cold, wet day then oysters, champagne and lobster at this wonderful restaurant will soon make you forget about the weather!
